Barry County SATF

The mission of the Barry County Substance Use Disorder Task Force is to prevent and address the consequences of existing and emerging substance use disorder issues through collaborative efforts.

Safe Harbor Children's Advocacy Center, Barry County

Safe Harbor Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Barry County is located in Hastings, Michigan and opened in December 2013. This is a satellite office of the Safe Harbor in Allegan County, both delivering the same mission; Providing a lifeline to victims of child abuse and neglect.

Sesame Street and Autism

Sesame Workshop created Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children, a nationwide initiative aimed at communities with children ages 2 to 5. Developed with input from parents, people who serve the autism community, and people with autism, See Amazing in All Children offers families ways to overcome common challenges and simplify everyday activities.


National Military Family Association

The EFMP prevents special needs military families from being sent to locations without adequate medical or educational services. As part of the assignment coordination process, personnel officials consult with medical and educational professionals at the proposed location to determine if a family’s needs can be met there.


National Academic Association of Students with Learning Disabilities

The DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) Center is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through technology and education. It promotes awareness and accessibility—in both the classroom and the workplace—to maximize the potential of individuals with disabilities and make our communities more vibrant, diverse, and inclusive.

Southwest Michigan Behavorial Health

SWMBH is one of Michigan’s ten Medicaid Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans, responsible for benefits management in eight counties – Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren.

Woodlands Behavioral Health Network

Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Network, Cass County, works in partnership with individuals, families and the community to inspire hope, promote resiliency and achieve recovery by providing effective behavioral health services.


Pivotal

Pivotal is St. Joseph County’s premier Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). Pivotal enhances the lives of the individuals they serve by delivering integrated services that jointly address medical and behavioral health needs including substance use disorder and primary care screening services.

Van Buren Community Mental Health

American Society of Addiction Medicine

ASAM is a professional society representing over 3,900 physicians, clinicians and associated professionals in the field of addiction medicine. ASAM is dedicated to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment, educating physicians and the public, supporting research and prevention, and promoting the appropriate role of physicians in the care of patients with addiction.

Suicide is a complex public health issue with several causes, including psychiatric illnesses that may have not been recognized or treated. Many treatment options are available, and there have been several recent advances in treating and understanding suicide.
